Charlottesville’s premier food destination channels the spooky spirit of Halloween with a trick-or-treat event on Friday, October 28.

Dress up your kids in some fang-tastic Halloween costumes and unleash them at the Dairy Market. Merchants will have some yummy treats for them. Bone Appetit!

Halloween Party

We could all (little ones included) use a spa day where we sit back, breathe, and allow the loads on our shoulders to melt away. But before that, drop your kids at the MxA Collection & Spa for a whimsical Halloween party. 

The unique October 30 event features a number of eek-tastic Halloween activities, such as making Googly eye slime, DIY tie-dye candy corn shirts, pumpkin painting, and candy bags.

14th Annual Doggie Howloween and Trick-or-treating

Your pup must love treats every waking day. Well, here’s another excuse to pamper your canine best friend with yummy snacks:

Trot with your doggo down to Pawprints Boutique in Charlottesville Downtown Mall for a trick-or-treating Halloween event. Huff and puff from one participating local business to the next, collecting your bounty of dog treats.

And when your treat bag is full, join a costume parade followed by a contest. Registration is a $15 donation to the Cat Action Team.

Downtown Safe Halloween Festival

If you need plans for Saturday, October 29, all roads lead to the Ting Pavilion this Halloween for the Downtown Safe Halloween Festival by Charlottesville Parks & Recreation.

The event features a ton of activities—including costume competitions for kids aged 1-12, pumpkin bowling, AirRaid juggling, inflatables, make & take crafts, fun games, tick-or-treating at participating stores on the Downtown Mall, and performances by Brushwood’s School of Dance.
